I. Create Workbooks
I created workbooks for students to follow and sold them on TPT and KDP on Amazon. All of you are good at doing something online. Identify what it is and create a workbook for others to follow.
I’ve been creating lessons and unit plans my entire teaching career, so creating mathematics workbooks was an easy transition. Here is what many of you can do for your online writing business.
Create a workbook and teach others the process of writing online. Pick a niche you like writing and create a workbook to teach others. Once you made your workbook, market it and sell it online.
Teaching others means showing them how you did it yourself. Create a workbook showcasing your writing journey. Some will find your workbook useless, but I bet there is someone who could use it.
II. Create Courses
Show others your writing journey by putting it in writing. Again, some people will find no use for it, but some will find value in your work. Make a free five-newsletter email course to offer your free subscribers.
Use Medium to collect your free subscribers and send them your free course.
Teaching others means showing others what you do in your writing journey.
III. Create a Podcast
I’m on episode 7 of my podcast. I share what I know and have done in my writing journey. Creating a podcast helps feed my creativity. I’ve just started, so it’s too early to determine my progress.
Takeaway
Market your work and your writing journey. If your goal is to make money as an online writer, market your writing because no one will sell it for you but you.
Teaching means showing others what and how you do something.
