Millionaires come from different backgrounds and jobs. It’s not always what you might think, but people with jobs become millionaires. Here are the top five careers that produce the most millionaires (source).

The more I searched online for millionaires, the more disappointed I was that online writers were not on the list. Some online writers are millionaires, but many are not.
You will have a better chance of saving and investing over a long period than instantly making money through a side hustle with writing. It is not to say that someone cannot do it. However, like everything else, it will take time.
I was surprised about one career that was on the list. I never thought teachers would make the list. But I can see how consistent saving and investing with a steady income would produce wealth. I’m not a millionaire. However, I would not be financially stable without my teaching career.
Final Thoughts
It isn’t about being a millionaire. It’s about freedom. The job that gave me the most freedom was being a high school teacher. I say high school teachers because elementary school teachers work many more hours per week than high school teachers.
Plus, teachers get days off when students get days off. That means I don’t work during Christmas, Summer, and Spring breaks. Also, I don’t work during all the state and some of the federal holidays.
Teaching is not easy, but I choose the vacations and breaks any day over a traditional 9 - 5 job with a two-week vacation a year. My teaching job gives me the most freedom because I have many vacations and holidays during the calendar year.
