It was early in my teaching career. My school had a culinary restaurant on campus. The culinary teacher wanted to provide the students with the experience of having them learn about the restaurant business. It was a great idea.

Each period, selected teachers could bring their students to the culinary class. It was a restaurant where the students in the culinary class were the wait helpers, cooks, dishwashers, and cashiers.
