How I use the Notion Calendar to plan my Freelance Writing Schedule
Notion helps me organize my writing
I’m trying to stay ahead of the curve by writing articles on Substack, NewsBreak (NB), and Medium. NewsBreak seems the easiest because the article requirement is only 250 words. My first ten articles are restaurant reviews, so writing NB articles right now is not too difficult. Medium articles are also easy to write. The money I make on NB isn’t much, but I have a solid platform to use to create my writing portfolio.
I’ve set up a Notion calendar to keep track of my articles across the three platforms. I am currently several days ahead with scheduling my articles. With the third quarter ending soon, and spring break around the corner, I’m busy grading papers, but I’m also free at night to write articles for my three current platforms. I’ve tried many other venues to organize my articles. However, NB seems to be the most productive. To get a clean slate, I started another free Notion account. I plan to use my second account for freelance writing only. I used my first account for everything I did during the day, including what I did for my teaching job.
