Every district and school is different
I've been a public school teacher for 25-plus years; there are minor details of how the district runs schools. Human nature and feelings are unavoidable. It's a mind game played by all stakeholders involved.
With the rising cost of college education, it is more important than ever for students to earn high grades to receive available scholarships. However, there is no way to separate biased grading from authentic learning because we are all humans.
Here is what happened to me at my former school about five years ago.
